The great austerity (card) game – Part 4

So its been a while since I updated this ‘project’. Mostly because I’ve had no major updates, and mostly because its just been fun (also very frustrating) grinding out the quests and bouncing up and down the rankings.

So the decks undergone a fair few changes mostly tweaking a card back and forth as I played. I ended up reverting to the basic Mage deck I linked a few posts ago and managed to get to the dizzy heights of the top 20/19.

Small change but helpful

Despite these changes I started hitting a ‘glass ceiling’ where even with a good hand loses were coming regularly. The deck was having trouble matching with other decks; some of this was due to other decks having very set goals and play styles, but most of my issues were ‘card quality’.

After realising this, I’ve decided now is the time to crack open the 5 free packs I’ve earned and spend some of the 1100 gold I’ve amassed from quests and Arena rewards.

Holy Cow

Holy Cow

Holy cow … make that 1400.
